Logo Size should be?

    Hello,

Though fairly computer savvy, I am very new to WP.

My custom logo is greatly undersized. What are the pixel dimensions for the standard Boardwalk theme please? I can then make my graphic match it.

    Thank you!

The logo in Boardwalk is displayed at a maximum of 444 by 96. You can upload a logo at twice those dimensions if you like, so it looks good on retina devices.

    Hi Kathryn,

Thank you for your help earlier in the week, but I am still having issues with ‘Logo size’.

Having been advised 444×96, which could be proportionally larger for Retina displays, I created a new logo; It still looks short by half or so, HORIZONTALLY.

Am I assuming (I know…) that the logo -should- go across the width of the screen?
My logo, above the text ‘Welcome To Our Adventures’, measures 1776×384.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Respectfully,
    Bob,
    San Diego, Calif.

Your logo looks correct to me. The final size will always be 444×96, which is what I see in my browser inspector:

It’s not possible to make the image any larger in this theme. Sorry for any confusion about the retina dimensions – uploading a larger image size does not display it a larger size; it only ensures that the image will be nice and sharp on retina devices. It will always be 444 x 96 maximum.

Ok.. thank you. To be clear.. the width will always appear (err, the right side of the logo) to end around mid screen…

vice horizontally across the (whole of the) screen width?

The maximum width is 444 pixels, so where that is on your screen depends on your size of device.
