Login / Password problem

Add topic to favorites
I am using FireFox and I am constantly being prompted to re-enter my login name and password.

At the moment I am just trying to do some simple editing and every time I try to press the save button I get a login name/ password prompt.

Help !

Have you tried clearing your cookies and cache and reloading your browser?

The Cookie Dance
(1) log out
(2) clear your browser cookie
(3) clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
(4) close your browser http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/06/force-refresh/
(5) go back and test

Just worked through steps 1 to 5. The problem is still happening.

(1) Do you have firefox 2.0.0.7?
If not then what you have is a previous outdated version. If that’s the case, I would suggest that you upgrade your browser. Here is the download link for a firefox 2.0.0.7 browser that speaks your own language http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html

(2) Have you already tried using a different browser? If so which one please?
