Linking pages to categories in WordPress.com blog
-
Hi, hope I’m asking in the right place. I have a blog (www.darcyfication.wordpress.com) using the “White as milk template”.
I want to have a page called where all my posts under the category “writing” will be automatically shown. I’ve read that it’t possible but can’t seem to figure it out.
If you can help, thanks in advance.

I want to have a page called where all my posts under the category “writing” will be automatically shown.
When we publish a post with categories assigned to it the post automatically displays on the running page for your posts in reverse chronological order (usually the front page). The same post will also display on your Categories pages and Archives as well.
If you want to change the running page for your posts to another static page you create then you can do that here > Settings > Reading
Look for:
___Front page displays
___Your latest posts
A static page (select below)
* Front page:
* Posts page:Another alternative is the Custom Menu. Then you can mix pages, categories, and random links in your navigation instead of your theme deciding for you. The custom menu feature applies to Bueno, Greyzed, Enterprise Twenty Ten, MistyLook, Notepad, Structure, Under the Influence, Vigilance and Vostok.

Custom Menus are only available on the themes listed above and not on “White as Milk”. However if you do not wish to change theme you can use the Custom Menu widget. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/custom-menu-widget/
Lastly, this alternative may be workable for you http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/
