Link category
-
I added a Link Category by mistake and now I can’t remove it. It displays in my sidebar in a place that confuses even me, let alone visitors.
I managed to remove it as a Category, but now it’s in the Default Link Category? That sounds like a Post Category defaultj, which I have as Uncategorized.
This is a category under links in the dashboard. Help!

Hey edrblogsites,
Change your default category in Dashboard>Settings>Writing to a one which you feel is apt.
Then go to Posts>Categories and delete the Uncategorised option. Now that your default category is something else.
Hope this solves

As WordPress has to have a default category selected, which in your case is ‘uncategorised’, you can choose one from a list of other categories you have created as default and subsequently, delete the Uncategorised.
