Likes/Follows in email don't show up in balloon or blog

    Starting today:
    I got one Like on a new post at: http://fstopfantasy.wordpress.com/2014/01/11/weeky-photo-challenge-window-of-surprise/

    It showed up in the little balloon icon in the black bar between New Post and Cris.

    I then got about three more Like and one Follow notifications in my email. None of them showed up when I clicked on the little balloon, just the first one I got.

    However, none of the Likes from either email notifications nor the little balloon shows up in my blog. That’s a first. I’ve refreshed to no avail. It shows no Likes.

    I use Firefox 26.0 and have been using it since it came out, but up until today, I had no problem with the Likes.

    This is very strange.

    I just noticed something. While I was unsuccessfully trying to put a Post a Week image in my widget of the previous year (none for 2014 yet), a Star came up and replaced the little bubble.

    When I clicked on the Star, it was the same one as at first, no new ones. When I checked my email, I found I had one new Like and one new Follow.

    I’ll try closing Firefox and if that doesn’t work, I’ll reboot. I’ll keep in touch.

    I finally was able to close Firefox and restart it and that took care of my problem. Weird.
