Jetpack social

  • For the past week or so I’ve been getting a Jetpack error “XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 200 )“. I’ve done as much troubleshooting as I can – deactivating plugins, switching the theme, deactivating and deleting Jetpack and reinstalling. I’ve also contacted by host and they don’t see anything blocking access.

    I’m only receiving a blank line when I test for the xml-rpc.php file and I’m not sure what to try next. I’ve even checked my xml-rpc.php file and my wp-config files and don’t see any blank lines before the <php code starts.

    Jetpack is connected, it just won’t connect to my social media to push new blog posts out.

    Any ideas of what else I can try?

    Your site seems to be hosted by Bluehost. I’d advise you to try getting in touch with them, as your web hosting company might be blocking access to the xml-rpc file.

  • I spoke with them last night and they are claiming there aren’t any issues, but I was planning on reaching back out to them again. Thanks!

  • Well, your xml-rpc page returns a blank page, so something’s definitely not right: https://www.literacious.com/xmlrpc.php – Please do try getting back to them about this, as they should be able to look into what went wrong exactly.
