Is there a way to combine two different blogs here on wordpress?

    I created a food blog for a journalism application. I was advised to keep it narrow, therefore, it’s just about food. But now I’m feeling restricted-I want to write about other things- so I created a second blog. Is there a way to get rid of one, and transport it’s content onto the other?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there. You can export the one site’s content under Tools in the dashboard and import it to the other site. See here for instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    I also suggest that you don’t delete the blog you won’t be using, but rather set it to private. Then you can use it as a test blog for trying out new themes and as a backup to your main site.

    Okay. So I followed the instructions, but my computer says it doesn’t have a program that supports the xml file?

    You’re not supposed to open the file, but to import it to the other blog.

    As export you should have received a zip folder. Extract the zip folder so you have the actual xml file on your computer.

    Then go to Tools ->Import on the blog you want to import to, and upload that XML file when prompted.
