Increase variable parameter
-
I have what seems to be a common problem, the need to increase my max_input_vars variable. My domain is hosted at WordPress, and I cant seem to find out where to edit this file (php.ini?)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @joblue3978,
We cannot edit php.ini for WordPress.com sites.
May I know what is the exact error message you get, and where you see it?
With your plan you can contact WP Support directly via Live Chat. Please click here.
I hope this gets sorted out.

Thanks for the reply…I did live chat with WP, and they told me I was outta luck in terms of them not being able to increase this variable past where its currently set. That’s too bad, as it will probably force me to select another tool for this project.

Hello @joblue3978,
Yes, all coding works are done from the backend, and there are some restrictions for the benefit of all WordPress.com users, security wise.
You can still use WordPress, but the self-hosted version. Then find a good hosting provider that will let you get access to these files.
You can check this link for more information on how to move your WordPress site from WordPress.com to self-hosted.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Rose
