increase number of blog posts
-
Hello,
I’m trying to change the number of blog posts that appear when I view a tag or category– at the moment it just displays a single post with an “Older posts” link to display the next most recent post.
According to WordPress Support (http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/) the option I’m looking for is “Blog Posts per Page”, however this doesn’t exist when I open the Reading Settings page.
I can see an option to adjust the syndication feeds’ number of posts but nothing else that looks relevant.
Am I doing something wrong? I’m using the Twenty Ten theme and WordPress’ hosting.
Thanks for your help,
ElizabethThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannont independently change the number of posts displaying on the front page of the blog and set a differnent number on Categories and Tags pages.
Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most __ posts -
That makes sense, but I don’t have an option to change the number of posts.
I only have “Syndication feeds show the most recent” which I tried changing (just in case…) but it made no difference, I still have all posts on the home page and only one on the others.
LOL I’d be happier if it was the other way around…

Staff have intoduced “infinite scroll” to Twent Ten and that means you no longer have control over how many pages display on the front page of your blog, unless you disable it using a workaround.
Infinite scrolling is an interface technique that allows users to browse through content without clicking on pagination links. Instead, all users have to do is scroll to the bottom of the page and new content will automatically load on the current page.

Thanks again timethief, I hadn’t refreshed my browser so hadn’t seen your second post, but have now found it and fixed my problem. Thank you so much. It has been driving me nuts for ages and I haven’t wanted to do much work until I had it working the way I want it too!
