Including the LuckyOrange WP Plugin?
-
I am trying to use my analytics plugin, LuckyOrange, in my WordPress.com site. Can you help me understand if I will be able to use this plugin if I upgrade my WordPress.com site?
Google analytics doesn’t give me enough information to manage my site and my customers’ sites. I am very hopeful that I can use my LuckyOrange.com service to improve the sites I manage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes into a site then you will have to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install.
There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes.

You can’t, sorry:
WordPress.com users won’t find a Plugins tab in the Dashboard.
P.S.: Do not put personal information in a public forum.

Google analytics
From the support doc:
Additional Info
Can I use Google Analytics?
No, Google Analytics cannot be used on WordPress.com blogs at this time. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-infoThere is no upgrade you can buy that changes that reality. For Google Analytics you need a WordPress.ORG install. Here’s the comparison http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Thanks for the info! I have seen some approved plugins for premium accounts. What is the process for submitting a plugin for approval so it can be included as an option for a premium account?

I have seen some approved plugins for premium accounts.
The only such plugins are for those with the $299.00 per year Business upgrade, not the Premium upgrade, and the plugins are only for eCommerce – nothing else.

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response to that but I think it’s unlikely that any stats plugins are likely to be included.

We provide our own site stats for our users. While it’s great that you have your own analytics service with a WordPress plugin, it’s not something we will be implementing at this time.
