images stretching to fit?

    so I’m just starting with WP, be gentle!

    I’ve set up a gallery page here: http://emmacondliffe.wordpress.com/images/ where the images are all over the shop, not in the 3 colums they’re supposed to be. This isn’t the main issue however.

    When you click onto each image, I’d like it to open in proportion, but they seem to all be stretching to fit a template size?

    Is there a workaround for this at all, or is it just a result of the template I’m using?

    Yes it’s the template you’re using: newly introduced, still has bugs. You should report this to staff:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    In the meantime, set your gallery to link thumbnails to “Image File” instead of “Attachment Page”. You can do that by clicking on the gallery box in the visual editor, clicking the mountain icon that shows up, etc., or by switching the editor to html and changing this:
    [gallery]
    to this:
    [gallery link="file"]
