  how do i get the link for an image widget to open in a new window??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi. I went through the support documentation and I don’t see any “target” field there:

  As an alternative, use a regular text widget with HTML code for an image with link. If you are unfamiliar with HTML, create a post in visual mode, insert the image, then the link (with the appropriate “target”), then switch to HTML mode, copy the code, and paste it into a text widget. (No need to save the post :-)
