Image link not working
-
Hi, all. First off, I’ve tried several times to find the answer to this in these forums — as of right now, no luck.
I’m trying to include images in a photoblog I’d like to post on my site; cube2000.wordpress.com
I have the images already hosted on Photobucket. None of the links there work in placing the image in my blog here on WordPress. There are four options there on Photobucket for providing links:
– Email & IM
– Direct Link
– HTML Code
– IMG CodeNone of them show an image in my blog when I preview it — all that shows up is the address to the image I’ve copied & pasted. The “Visual Rich Editor” option is checked on my profile page.
What am I doing wrong? I can’t believe that I have to host all the images I want to show in my blog here on WordPress.
Any help would be welcome and greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Raincoaster. I forgot to mention that I’d seen that, and really was wondering if there was no code I could type to just make it a lot more of a streamlined procedure. Entering each image in, one at a time like that will take some time.
Then again, if it’s the way it has to be, then that’s how it has to be. Thanks again!

You just need to find the actual URL of the image on Photobucket and put it in the pop-up box. They provide that.

That’s what I’m going to have to do, I guess. What I was trying to find out by posting was if there was a code to be used in the Code field when making a post, like using HTML, that didn’t require you to use the pop-up box. There isn’t. So, I’ll have to go with the pop-up thing instead.
Again… appreciate your taking the time to help. =)

Yes, you can certainly use HTML. You just need to click on the Code editor and put in the appropriate code, in this case the one that starts with < img hrc.
