If I deleted my .wordpress.com site, can I not map the same addy from my server?
-
I recently deleted a site due to wordpress NOT seeing that it was hosted on my server.
I had created a wordpress.com site, and then mapped my domain and hosted the site at mediatemple.com. However I was missing plugins and themes and jetpack, which I know is available when you host your own…
If I deleted my blog, does that mean that the domain that I bought from another service, and mapped through wordpress can never be available again for wordpress.org?

In order to use the self-hosted version of WordPress, you need to install WordPress from http://wordpress.org/ on MediaTemple and direct your domain’s nameservers to MediaTemple.
If you delete your blog here, it won’t affect your domain.
