    Hi Folks,

I have multiple blogs, same map code work in one blog but not in another

Here is one that is working:
    http://visualstudiohouse.wordpress.com/neighbourhood/

Here is one that is NOT working:
    http://alleluiadriving.wordpress.com/location/

    How could this happen?

I posted this question on both Google Map and WordPress.Com because I don’t know which party is responsible for this weird behavior.

Thank you very much, any hint is appreciated. I already tried delete and create a new page.

The blog I need help with is alleluiadriving.wordpress.com.

The second blog is using Depo Masthead. It’s a magazine style theme. Every theme has a maximum display image width in the blogging space. Depo Masthead has 3 columns on the front page and those columns are not wide enough for the full sized map to “fit” into it. See here . http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/23/maximum-image-width/ Then choose a suitable theme that will allow for full display of the map./

You’re welcome. When it comes to sidebars they likewise have restricted widths. See here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/sidebar-width/

I just switched to “The Morning After”, it is still being cut half. Same reason? Then why it works in the
    http://visualstudiohouse.wordpress.com/neighbourhood/
which is also “The Morning After”?

BTW: why “The Morning After” has so many bugs and is still being provided as a theme to WordPress users?

    Bugs:
    1. Theme options: when you want to remove the template headings, you HAVE TO repeat the deletion twice before the headings are gone.
    2. Title in pages sometimes can be deleted, sometimes not
    3. Menu can not be displayed as desired: no template heading, with more than one top items in the menu.

There are over 100 themes to choose from. You will find theme in the Showcase Forum which is a live demo site that has feature filters you can use. Here’s post on this The Morning After theme > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/06/02/the-morning-after/

Here’s the link to the Themes Showcase > http://theme.wordpress.com/
As I have already posted a link to an article that provides the maximum displayed image width sizes in the blogging space you can use it to choose a theme that will accommodate your Google map.

If you need clarity on how to create a custom menu please consult this support documentation entry > http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
A custom menu allows you to display Categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages and custom links in your custom menu as well.

    These are the how-to instructions:
    1. You create a custom menu.

    2. You add the Parent pages you want to display and arrange them in the order you want.

    3. Then you add and drop and drag the subpages below the appropriate Parent pages, and when you have everything arranged in the menu that you want you save the menu.

    4. Go to the “theme location” module at upper left on the menu page. Select your custom menu name from the pulldown labeled “primary location.” Click the save button in that module.

    5. Refresh your browser so that it isn’t possibly pulling a cached page, and view see your new menu with Parent pages and dropdowns to sub-pages.

I already spent too much time on this The Morning After theme before, there are always all kinds of problems and I just can’t get it fully working.
My requirement is really simple: two items on the top menu, no template headings, but after communicating with the developer many times, he keeps accusing me didn’t pay him attention while it is not true and I always respect him, so after almost a whole week, I can’t stick on it, I gave up.

I saw you posted lots of compliments on Pano’s demo site, would it be possible for you to take a look at my case? it would be greatly appreciated if you can. I am sure it won’t cost much time for someone who is already familiar with the theme, but for the first-time user, it is really time-consuming.

Please let me know if you can help or not.

    Thank you very much.

The link I posted to the live demo site is the Themes Showcase and it is provided by WordPress.com here > http://theme.wordpress.com/ The decision about which theme to use is yours and rather than choosing a theme that you do not appreciate I suggest you choose another one.

I do like the theme and I want to use it, that’s the problem, I am hoping someone can build a template blog using this theme for me, for just the simple requirements I posted above. I am sure it won’t cost more than 5 minutes, I am just hopeless here.

Can you mercifully do it to me? Huge thank you in advance.

We cannot “build templates” here at WordPress.com. All free hosted blogs here on this multiuser blogging platform using the same theme are using the same template. We cannot edit themes or templates. Only Staff can access those files as every edit they make affects all blogs wearing the same theme. If that’s what you want to do then you are in the wrong place > Read > WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
