  Kindly please reply to this, I am having free plan of WordPress. That’s the reason or what?

  Hi akshat215,

  Having a free WordPress.com plan will not limit your use of categories.

  When you navigate to Customize -> Menus -> main-menu, click “Add Items” and open the Categories option, do you not see any of the post categories you have created? You should be able to see the categories there and add them to the menu.
