    I am an award-winning wildlife photographer. I already have a current website that I designed in Adobe Muse. I want to create a totally new website with WordPress. My domain is already registered and has been for several years I use HostGator for web hosting for the current website and will continue using HostGator until March 2024. I am seeking/wanting recommendations for the best Themes, plugins, and the like for a professional photographers’ websites and plugins, etc. I am looking for a very sleek site that has cool transitions and cool visual features and unique design elements.      I am seeking/wanting recommendations for the best Themes, plugins, and the like for a professional photographers’ websites and plugins, etc. I am looking for a very sleek site that has cool transitions and cool visual features and unique design elements.

    From the get go, it sounds like you’re describing premium third party themes, the likes that can be found in Themeforest. These themes are generally very well supported, updated regularly and have functionality that a photographer may need, built into them.

    Some examples I know of are Divi, Avada, Bridge, and these tend to be multipurpose themes, that also may have what you’re looking for:

    With regards to plugins – it depends on the theme selection, and what you’re looking to do. Do you have any functionality in mind that you’re looking to have for your site? (e.g. contact form, booking forms…etc).

    Are there any photographer websites out there you like the look of? Perhaps we can take a closer look and see how they’re built and cherry pick some of the things you like and replicate them.

    To note, in order to run one of the themes and plugins above, the site would need to have the business plan.

    Are you looking to move the domain over to WordPress.com? If yes, this can be done as per these steps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

    It’s also possible to keep the domain with Hostgator if you need to and connect the domain via DNS settings: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

    Do you have email hosting currently? If yes, please make a record of the DNS settings required to run the email hosting, as we may need to add those settings here at WordPress.com, to keep that running. The email hosting provider should be able to provide this information.
