How to set default list view for blog – archived posts

Hello,
I am not sure if “CSS Customization” is the correct space for this question, but I want to ask about how I can set the list view as the default for my blog, using a setting of Gridspace that is described in the preview of the theme. There should be an option to switch between “Grid” view and “List” view, but unfortunately I do not see that in the “Theme Options” section of my WordPress dashboard. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
