How to restore your own deleted blog address
I haven’t used the site for a long time. I came back (wohoo!), I changed my username and accidentally also changed the deleted(!) blog address I had. I know that WP don’t restore the deleted URLs, so that no one could use my old address etc but could it be possible, pretty please, do restore this one?
Recovering or registering any deleted blog URL is not possible. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and it must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click. Once the verification link for deletion is clicked the blog URL is forever gone, gone, gone.
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
Sorry, but no.
Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner. Please do not submit support requests asking us to do this.
