How to remove the Extra Space on the Right

  • Hi,

I am new to wordpress and my website (https://marcoangeloartsanddesigns.com) has this theme called “Blask”.

I have a problem though, it seems that there is an extra space on the right that i need adjusted so that my web contents are centered on the webpage.

Please help me out with this. Just so you know, I have no coding skills.

    Regards,
    Marco

  • Hi @marcoangeloedquiban!

The extra space on the right is part of Blask‘s design. On things like Portfolio Pages (see demo site) a grid extends across the full page. On other pages (like your homepage) the content area is narrower, primarily for readability reasons. If the content area on a web page is too wide, it become difficult for the reader’s eye to move from the end of one line to the beginning of the next without losing their place.

The content area is actually centered on the page – there’s a sidebar in the extra space to the left, but not on the right though. Changing that would mean shifting the content area off center and moving the sidebar along with it to center them as a combine element.

This would technically be possible with Custom CSS, part of a Premium Plan or Business Plan.

Because of the way things are structured on this particular theme, we’d need to use a few fairly specific codes to make that kind of shift work, and ensure it only worked in the right places. If you go that route, drop a not on the CSS Customization forum for assistance :)
