How To Dump Test Blog

  • I created a blog to learn on. After a week I created another one (primary) which is working fine. But the “test” blog is still there under “My Blogs”. Is there a way to remove it? I noticed a “Leave Blog” link associated with the test blog that sends up a dramatic red warning message when clicked in the “My Blogs” section. Is this the “kill” switch?

    Thank you,

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • My suggestion is to keep it if you need to do further testing such as with new themes and such. It does not cause any issues really.

What you can do is go to “my blogs” in your dashboard and under the “dashboard” column you can “hide” that blog so that it does not appear in the grey admin bar “my blogs” dropdown. Hover your mouse over “visible” in that column and then click the “hide” link that appears.

  • Oh, and make sure that the test blog is set to private.

  • I’m with Richard on just hiding your test blog to keep it out of the Admin bar. You may want to use it should you need to test something that you don’t want to try out on your primary blog (it *may* happen).

If you delete it, you never get it back.Never.
