How to delete blog without email or password
I wish to delete an old blog but have forgotten the password and the email address to which it is linked is no longer operative due to confounded hackers.
I do not have access to the email linked with this account so i cannot get the password reset. there must be a way.
You need to login to the account which owns the blog you want to delete.
If you’ve misplaced your log-in information, the email address or username you’ve entered isn’t recognized, and you haven’t enabled Two Step Authentication, you can access your account using the Account Recovery Form which is accessible by clicking the “Need More Help?” button on the Password Reset page.
On this form, you can provide certain pieces of information, under Proof of Ownership, to verify that you are the owner of the blog in question.
See https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form for more details.
But how do you do this without the information that they require under Proof of Ownership??? In my case, I can’t access the email I set up this site with, so I can’t access the proof of ownership info they require.
Hello there @blaiseryan, then you won’t be able to recover the account or get access to the site. WordPressdotcom will not turn over access to you if you cannot provide proper validating information that you own the site.
When you fill out the account recovery form, make sure to add at the bottom of the form any other details that may help (like the email address you registered that site with here on WordPressdotcom), then click Recover My Account. Staff will contact you with a response or a request for additional information. Once they have proof verifying you are the blog owner, you will be able to regain access to your WordPress.com account.
