How to create a website login system? (I also prefer the price is free)
Where can I download it? Any direct links for me?
Are there any requirements? Do I need to install something or not?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For which website? For your blog, the ONLY way to do that is to set it to Private, and then everyone who reads it will have to log in at WordPress.com

Can I buy a website and create a login system for visitors? Where can I find this option from?

You can. It wouldn’t be on WordPress.com, but you can do it.

    But if I use wordpress.org

Are there options for me to download a theme with login system?

  • raincoaster · Member · May 13, 2009 at 10:51 am

Logins aren’t part of a theme.

Really? So logins related to what type of system then?

  • perfectionistgal · Member · May 14, 2009 at 2:07 pm

I mean if it’s not related to theme.

Logins and such require additional stuff to be added to wordpress.ORG blogs. There are some plugins for that, and at least some of them require you to modify the theme’s underlying PHP script files and add stuff to them.

You really need to ask questions about wordpress.ORG stuff over at wordpress.ORG. Few here know much about the software or what is required to do what.

But I do not know about the software regarding WordPress.org. I may ask in wordpress.org but please answer what is PHP script files, plugins…and what actually required me to do?

This simply isn’t the place to find out about that stuff since 98% of the people here don’t know.

A plugin is a small add-on program (script) that extends the functionality of wordpress.

This explains what PHP scripting is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PHP

But how can I download a blog from wordpress.org? Why can’t I see anything, just like a new website on wordpress.com? I only see a download button, once I’ve clicked in, there are just files for me, so how can I do with the files? I’m not really good at plugins or some smart programmings…

Like tsp says, you need to ask WordPress.org questions over at WordPress.org, not here.

Have you considered the possibility that what you want to do is beyond your current skill level?

I first made a website using WP.com (UN: braintrackers),
then I installed 7.2.1 into my domain (braintrackers.com) from WP.org

But every time I try to login into my domain admin (braintrackers.com), it redirects me to the website login at WP.com, even though I deleted the website I created at WP.com

    How do I fix this?

    thank you

BTW, I tried to find the answer at WP.org and got nowhere.

    thanks again

@braintrackers, did you have the domain mapping here to map your .COM blog to braintrackers.com? If so, and you have deleted that blog, you might have to contact staff here directly to get it sorted out.
