How to create a post with user plugin form input?
-
I’m working with some academics and clinicians who want to create a research ideas database. Since I’m not a webmaster, I’m looking into the possibility of implementing some type of blog-based solution. What they want is a way for people in their field in the international community to be able to post ideas for needed research. Then interested potential researchers could search the posted ideas for something they might want to actually pursue. Ideally, people would also be able to post comments about the suggested research ideas.
Obviously, having people diectly post their ideas would be nice, but that isn’t feasible because they won’t have WordPress admin access or posting know-how. It has to be an easy online experience for whoever might want to post an idea, and they need to be prompted for specific info on each idea entry, including their own contact info. So I’ve looked at some WP forms plugins. They look great, seemingly easily customizable to accommodate all of the needed fields.
But how to get the data that’s input on the forms to be available for browsing/searching? My thought, of course, is to just dump the form responses into individual blog posts, where they would all be easily searchable and commentable.
Is there a way to achieve this automatically? Or is there a much better solution for this kind of thing?
Thanks in advance for any advice/insights.

If you’re talking about plugins, you are in the wrong forum, as we cannot do plugins here at wordpress.COM. Head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/
