how to convert embed widgets?

    A. History Channel “This Day in History” lists WP icon as partner in widget sharing but never shows on blog. & embed isn’t option with WP

    B. Been established on Sodahead Polling site for years, don’t like Poll Daddy. But Sodahead is embed only without WP icon listed.

    New here, 1st 2 things I try to do on WP fail. Why’d I leave Blogger?
    the potential is here.

    Someone help me tap into it.

    There are two kinds of WordPress, so read this:

    If you need javascript, flash, or embeds in your widgets, you won’t be happy here; for security reasons, because we share the inner workings of our blogs with everyone else on the same theme, they are stripped out. You will need to move to independently-hosted WordPress or some other platform.

    If you can find plain HTML versions of the code you want to use, that should work. Nothing with javascript, flash, or iframes will work, however.

    You’re wrong about “This Day in History”, however. You click the “Grab it” button, click the WP button, fill in your wp username, password and blogname, and you automatically get a draft post in your blog.
