How do I set my blog to default to classic editor?
-
I’ve set up a new blog using a different e-mail address. The defaults have changed since I set up my original one, and I can’t use them. When I try to type anything, the editing bar (showing bold, underline, etc) doesn’t come up. I gather that I need to press classic editor, but I can’t see how to get it to default to that every time, rather than having to do it every time I do anything. Could anyone tell me how to set it as the default option? Thanks.

We can set it for you on our end for now, so long as the site is hosted here and classic is available.
If it helps, though, the new editor should have some text-editing options built in too. They just look a bit different. Here’s what the Paragraph block looks like:

Yes please!
It’s this one – theyearwithoutwimbledon – I was logged in as this when I posted the message! I’d just like it set to default to classic editor, please.
Many thanks.

Sorry, I got totally confused about where I was logged in! Please don’t touch setinthepast, my original blog – that one’s fine. The one that needs setting to classic editor is this one – theyearwithoutwimbledon
Many thanks.

Hi there,
I see that the site is set to classic editor currently. You were able to find the settings to change it?
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
