How do I move my wp.com subscribers to my new wp.org site?

    I thought I had done all that needed to be done before moving to wp.org, but I have discovered that I did not take care of transferring subscribers. I have read the support page, “Moving A Blog — Moving Your Subscribers” and see that you will transfer them. I did not notify the subscribers of the change, but since that has already happened it seems to be a moot point. Jet pack is installed, and connected to wp.com, and the Subscriptions widget is in the sidebar.

    What happens next? Do you transfer the subscribers, or is there something I must do first?
