How do I leave a blog?
-
I have two blogs listed in my account. I have nothing to do with “Mind The Gap” – a blog that I want to leave. How do I leave and remove the blog “Mind The Gap” from my list of blogs?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
try this: in your Dashboard, go to the “My blogs” page (this should be on http://juliuswillis.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs). There you’ll see a list of the blogs you belong to. When you hover over each list item, you should see a “Leave blog” link.
Let me know if that doesn’t work.
-
Thanks, seufelipe – but that doesn’t work. All I see when I hover the mouse over the blog is “Hide” (or after I’ve hidden it, “Make Visible”).
-
I see. The “Leave blog” links should appear under each blog’s address in the Address column—in the same way the “Hide” links appear in the Dashboard column.
Do you see the Address column there? If not: click the “Screen Options” button on the top right corner of the screen.
Let me know if that helps.

Hi, seufelipe:
Thanks for your response. Here is the entire panel. You will see that only “Hide” is visible when I mouse over the address link.
Linked Blogs Blog Name Address Dashboard
Mind The Gap http://www.oscarquiambao.com Visible
Hide
I know the “Leave Blog” option should also appear but it does not.

http://www.oscarquiambao.com/ is not hosted by wordpress.COM so let’s start with that.
Please refer to this guide to Disconnect Jetpack Sites http://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/

What I post below applies only to blogs hosted by WordPress.COM.
If you want to leave a WordPress.COM hosted blog that you have been made an official user of by way of invitation then you can use the leave a blog option. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#leave-a-blog
You will, of course, have to be logged in under the exact same username account that was added to the blog as a user https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
Clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility -
Actually, since this site is not hosted here, you will need to disconnect it from Jetpack instead. This article will help you through:

Hi, Timethief:
Thanks for your response. I went to the link for jetpack and followed the steps to “Remove an active site from your WordPress.com account” but got the following message. The error was due to the fact that I needed to update Jetpack but could not because I neither have the username or password for the site. There must be another way to get rid of this site.

You might try this version of the steps:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/#remove-old-site — let us know if that helps! And thanks @timethief, I’d missed that response earlier. :)

Thanks again, Supernovia – but the site I have a problem with is NOT an old site, it is active. The requirement to remove it is an update to Jetpack, but I don’t know the username and password for the site and so I could not update Jetpack. No matter how I try, I get the error message. Couldn’t WordPress remove the LINK for me?

Couldn’t WordPress remove the LINK for me?
Kind of. If the site is still active and they’re using Jetpack, then disconnecting your account (because it’s the only connected account) will make them lose their stats and what not. Is that your intent? If so, go ahead and proceed with the steps you would use if the site were no longer active.
If not, please have them disconnect you from their end, then reconnect as themselves, and we’ll clear things up from there.
