I just created a blog and imported my old posts from a self-hosted installation. Everything worked except for the following:

    1) Pictures did not get copied over and the URL in the <img src=”…”> tag was not changed to a new location. I need some means of copying my images in bulk and rewriting the <img src=”…”> tag to reflect the new location of the images.

    2) Many of my posts contain links to previous posts I made. After importing my blog, the links still point to the posts on my old installation. I need these links to be rewritten to point to the posts’ location on

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is this type of functionality available at all on If a solution exists, I assume it will require me to re-import everything, which is fine. I found someone who wrote their own importer but the code is no longer available and it appears to only work when importing a wordpress.ORG blog from a wordpress.ORG blog at a different location. ( Any help would be appreciated!!!

The blog I need help with is:

    There is no easy fix.

There is only a post-by-post image-by-image manual re-upload and re-insert of every image.

There is only a post-by-post manual editing of every link
