How do I add a form in the new editor?

    I can’t add a form while in the “new” mode of composing pages and posts.

    I prefer the classic mode of composing pages and posts, but it seems I can’t switch back to classic mode.

    How can I add a contact form when it’s not an option in the new editor?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Note, I have other contact forms up on my page. I can copy and paste the code of those forms and alter it to fit, but I’d like to be able to build new custom forms using the WordPress portal, via an “Add Form” button.

    Hi Lara,

    If you prefer to use the “Add Form” button, you can still do that via the classic editor. To get there from the home page at https://wordpress.com/ you can click on My Sites in the upper left there. From that page, click the “WP Admin” link in the left sidebar to get to the classic (WP Admin) dashboard, and then head to Posts > Add New to open the classic editor.

    You can also bookmark that classic editor if you’d like a quick way to go straight there:

    https://writelarawrite.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

    That is helpful! However, I have an existing page on which I’d like to add a contact form. I will likely copy and paste, since there doesn’t seem to be a solution yet, but I don’t understand why the Add Form button is missing. I oversee junior bloggers with their own personal WordPress blogs—they’ll have to bookmark the old editor or ask me to write the code for them? Ridiculous.

    Hi Lara,

    Our team decided not to include the Add Form button in the new editor because it wasn’t used very often. However, I’ll certainly mention this to them so they can consider adding it there!

    For now, the junior bloggers you over can also use the “WP Admin” link on the My Sites page to get to the classic dashboard and editor. You can also go to the Posts > All Posts or Pages > All Pages sections of that dashboard to edit existing pages and add contact forms to them.
