How can I remove an overlaying background?

    My background right now is a picture of wood texture and that is all I want it to be. But there is also a background of white running down the middle of the page. How can I remove the white?

    Here is my blog:

    Thank You!

    The blog I need help with is

    The following will remove the white in the content area, but text can become hard to read, so you will likely have to make some adjustments to the color of text.

    #container {
    background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);

    Or you might want to try the following which makes the central content color semi-transparent which will keep text more legible on your site. The opacity is the last number in the string (0.4). You can play with that value. The closer to 0, the more transparent, and the closer to 1, the more opaque.

    #container {
        background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.4);

    I was working on this same problem and can confirm that removing the white background makes things hard to read. Highly recommend the opacity solution instead.

    Oh great thank you!!

    In addition, how I can remove the left side bar area? I would like my video in the center.

    There are a couple questions on this. I can center the content on all pages, or I can center the content on just the main page of your site. Which do you want? I’m going to make an assumption and give you the code that will center just your main page for right now.

    .home #contents {
        margin-left: 0;
        border-left: none;
    .home .hentry .main {
        float: none;
        margin-left: auto;
        margin-right: auto;

    Great! Thank you for your help.

    You are welcome.
