How can I find two simple things on WordPress?

    I can’t access my nickname to change it (for the display for who is writing this, I need for it to be something other than what my username is and just can’t seem to get it off there!!). I also can’t find the area to edit the “about” section in my latest blog. Can you please help me. Thank you SO much!!!

    Hi ultraldc,

    Sorry to hear you are having trouble. To change your WordPress account username, go to https://wordpress.com/settings/account/ and then click the Change hyperlink next to your Username.

    You can edit the about section of your blog, from the Dashboard -> Pages, then select the About page. In addition, you can also change the blog description that seems to match your About page by editing the Tagline in Dashboard -> Settings -> General.

    I forgot to mention that you can also change your Display name settings from Dashboard -> Users. That would impact the name that is displayed publicly when you post blog entries.

    Yes, it was more about the display name than the user name (however, seems something was selected as hidden, which I have to unhide – some gravatar or something – before I could do that. Thank you so much!!!!
