Host name mismatch
-
Hi,
I created a test site to learn wordpress. I called it:
http://www.hearttotheartlomilomi.wordpress.com. Note the typo. It should be: http://www.hearttoheartlomilomi.wordpress.com. When I was ready to launch my website, I registered http://www.hearttoheartlomilomi.com and linked it to my test site.
Now Safari puts up a security warning about the certificate for my site, saying: “This certificate is not valid (host name mismatch)”.
I think this must be because my test site has a typo in it so they don’t match. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks

Please see the HTTPS support page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ Note that SSL certificates need to be signed to a specific domain, and WordPress.COM cannot provide certificates for mapped domains at this time, so our certificate is signed for WordPress.com. That may result in browser warnings if you access your custom domain at https://hearttoheartlomilomi.com/ instead of the HTTP version at http://hearttoheartlomilomi.com/ The developers who are working on this hope to have HTTPS support for all WordPress.com users this year, but no other details are available at this time.
