Hiding tags from front page.

  • Hi, I’m using Andreas09 theme on a new website I’m starting at http:www.thefilthykitchen.wordpress.com

    I would like to be able to hide all the tags from the front page so that it looks like my blog at http://www.remistevens.wordpress.com done on kubrick. The tags are there, but you only see them when you’ve clicked through the “read more” link leaving the front page less cluttered.

    All the settings seem the same, but on Andreas09 it looks like a “more” command doesn’t hide the tags. I’ve also gone through and tried making every display: read display:none, the tags remain. Any one with a few extra minutes have a good suggestion. . . .Greatly appreciated.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • As far as I can tell, it is

    .category {
    display:none;
    }

    that should be added to your CSS

  • excellent! Thanks very much Husdal, that did exactly what i needed it to do.
    Looked at your blog, its funny, we just had a harddrive burn out with some irreplaceable data on it. Tried all the bizarre tricks, even put it in the freezer, nothing. We ended up having to give the client whose data was there some earlier edits and hoped for the best. No complaint so far.

    Anyone else surfing this topic for information:

    There is a more extensive thread on this topic here- https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-hide-tags?replies=29#post-241811 Basically, removing tags is different under every theme- many more themes are mentioned in the other thread.

    Thanks again
