    Hello WordPress CSS Team,

    Time Thief suggested that I should contact your forum to get an answer on the following option:

    Use CSS editing to hide the author byline on the theme you use now.

    The question is, what is the code to be inserted on CSS.The current code is as follows:

    aside.widget_image img {
    width: 100%;
    }

    #content .entry-details {
    display: none;
    }

    #content .entry-header, #content .entry-content {
    width: 100%;
    }

    .widget h3.widget-title, .widget_get_recent_comments h1.widget-title {
    font-size: 15px !important;
    color: #663300;
    }

    #site-title h2 {
    font-size: .9em;
    font-weight: bold;
    }

    Awaiting to hear from you all at the earliest.

    Thanks,

    Rafiq

    Add this CSS at the end of your existing CSS :-)

    span.byline {
        display: none;
    }

    Thank you very much. It worked like magic. My next two questions are as follows:

    1. Blog consists of many YouTube links. Will that be a problem? Note that the mapping has been done on this blog, and paid $ 13.00. All the servers are pointed to WordPress.

    2. How to block off the comments? I would rather prefer the readers to send their comments on a separate email.

    Let me know not to proceed.

    Regards,

    Rafiq

    1. This is not a problem at all. Please feel free to embed as many YouTube links as you please :-)

    2. Please check Enable and Disable Comments support document.

    Good to hear. I browsed through the enable and disable comments link, but I remain confused. I just do not want any comments, as I know there will be plenty of rubbish coming in to disrupt the blog. Perhaps, you can
    enlighten me on how to put a full stop to those comments.

    Furthermore, I need help on “thinkallittleblog.wordpress.com. Should I create another request?

    Thanks. Rafiq

    You can disable comments on posts using the steps in the above support document.

    You can start a new topic for help with other blog.

    Thanks. One more question. I see that ‘Date’ as well as ‘Leave Comment’ appears on the blog. Is there any way to remove these two? May be, there is a code. Though, I am not sure about the date. Rafiq

    Remove the earlier CSS:

    span.byline {
        display: none;
    }

    and just use this:

    header.single-entry-header p {
        display: none;
    }

    Hello Friend,

    I inserted the code, but it is still showing the ‘Date’ and ‘Leave Comment.”

    In addition, I want to keep this blog private, hence, I opted to tick the
    “I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose.”

    Will this work? Till the blog is completely ready.

    Awaiting the favor of your valuable comments as usual.

    I am sorry. I made a mistake. I did not remove the code which you requested. Now I did. I think it is fine.

    I noticed that the blog is now in a private mode. My question is,
    “How do i invite only a few friends to the site?” In other words, how
    can they set up the password?

    Thank you kindly. I checked out the “Viewing a Private Blog,” however, I remain confused about who will assigned the “Password.” From what it looks like, all I have to do is to sent a handful of viewers an invitation. Once that is done, then how will they plug in their username and password? Your response will be much appreciated. Rafiq

    I suppose each viewer will have an access to their own password! Like I stated earlier. I will only make it public, once the blog is fully completed. Due to the sensitive nature of the blog, it will be better to keep it private for now.

    Viewing a Private Blog support document says:

    All viewers added to a private blog must have a WordPress.com account—this ensures that only those you’ve authorized to see your blog are the ones viewing it

    So when you Invite People to View Your Private Blog, you will enter their WordPress.com username or email id linked to their WordPress.com account.

    So your invitees use their own WP.com username and password to view your blog.

    Well, those whom I know, do not have WordPress account. This means that I will still have to keep it private for now. Thanks.
