Hide tags/categories- Show comments?
-
The bottom of my post shows ‘tags’ & ‘category’, which does nothing for a reader- can’t figure out why they’re not hidden. I would like to configure things so these do not appear.
Conversely, seem it would be helpful to readers if prior comments DID appear, yet they do not without an extra click. I can live without the ‘whys’ of this oddity, but I am seeking ‘hows’– getting rid of useless words & clutter, displaying comments without the extra work for visitors.
Using Cutline.
Have searched support. Thanks for your insights.

1. They do something for a reader: lead to the global WP pages, for other blogs/posts filed under the same category or tag.
2. Comments show up only when you view a single post in its entirety: otherwise your front page might become full of comments instead of posts.

Hi Pan- How do I view a single post in its entirety?
Thanks.

Hi. By clicking on its title in the main posts page, or by landing on it via the sidebar (e.g. via recent posts, or any other related widget).

I’m a newbie and have been searching the Support posts about hiding tags/categories from my blog (wordswithmelissa.wordpress.com). I don’t know CSS but am a CS major and can likely figure it out if pointed in the right direction. I’m using the Connections theme. I would like to still display the date and comments for each post, however.
TIA

There is a list of CSS resources in the CSS forum, as a sticky post at the top. Check it out.
