Help using Tags to sort Gallery Images

    Hello, I am new to WordPress but really liking all the options even though it is a bit of an overload for me at the moment.

    Issue: My goal is to have an Image Gallery and Tags linked to the specific Images in the Gallery. When clicking a specific Tag I would like (if possible) for any image with that tag to be displayed and all images without that tag not to be displayed.

    Example (just to be sure I am explaining it correctly): I have 3 tags; Dog, Cat, Bird… And I have 4 photos, 1st with just a dog, 2nd with just a cat, 3rd with just a bird, and 4th with a dog, cat, and bird. When I click the tag “Dog”, the 1st and 4th photo should show up, when I click the tag “Cat”, just the 2nd and 4th photo should show up….

    My issue right now is I have a gallery and all photos have tags added to each individual photo in that gallery. When I click a Tag it says “Nothing Found”. I have Tag count on and so I know that the Tags and the images are somewhat connected, or at least the tag info is correctly showing the number of items in that specific tag.

    I hope I am just missing something simple but I have spent the past 4 hours trying to figure it out.

    I am using the “Media Library Categories” Plug-In with the “Clean Gallery” Theme. I have attempted to use both the “Tag Cloud” Widget, and “Categories” Widget with no success (they both produce the same “Nothing Found” Response)

    Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

    Sorry about that. It is a super generic site at the moment, and keeps getting more messed up as I try things so there are a lot of strange things going on because of all the testing I was doing trying to get it to work. I wanted to get the Gallery set-up how I would like it before customizing the rest of the site so bare with me on it. haha.

    I am also completely open to using any other widgets/themes/suggestion that anyone feels will fit me needs better, or be easier for me to accomplish my goal. Also, would be willing to pay for a premium theme if it will help. Thanks again.

    Thanks for providing the link to your site and sorry for the late reply. It doesn’t look like your site at markcooperengraving.com is hosted here on WordPressdotcom, but with GoDaddy, and is using the standalone WP software.

    To get the best possible support for your WP site, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you can register one on that page. It doesn’t look like the Clean Gallery theme support forum has been active so I also suggest searching the general forums for a similar issue before posting or check the ThemesDNA site. Otherwise check out the support forum for the Media Library Categories plugin
