Help! Please re-start my Statistics. It was disconnected as you edited and changed WordPress. It has been down for several months, and I SERIOUSLY need the Stats data now. I will be splitting this site into two sites, but I need to be able to view info re visits to my site IMMEDIATELY. Please do this ASAP. Email me if there is any problem or delay. My best, Salay

I so appreciate your assistance. There is one more thing: I cannot access my Dashboard. I am getting this message:
http 500 internal server error when I try to open cafesalay.wordpress.com, then wp-admin
Could you please fix this? It is saying the website is under maintenance…
I will be SOOO HAPPY to get this all straightened out.

I do not see any server errors when visiting https://cafesalay.wordpress.com/ . It is loading without any trouble.

I just tried to go to …wp-admin, and got this message:
User topspacecadet Cannot Access the Dashboard RequestedYou are logged in as “topspacecadet” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “WELCOME to CAFÉ SALAY”. If you are not “topspacecadet”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “topspacecadet” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
I have never used this login, topspacecadet, but when I first built the website, I had someone help me upload pix and art files, and there was always a risk to my giving my passwords, etc. Andthey probably changed my user name, or whatever, or I may have changed it a couple times myself. This was in 2011.
Could you please allow me access with “topsecretcadet” so I can get going?

I am not getting the http 500 error now, but I cannot access my dashboard. How can I access my dashboard? /wp-admin brings up nothing…it always brought up the Dashboard before. What does topsecretcadet have to do with it? Should I be using it in some way for access?
Please let me know. I am losing a lot by not being able to deal with this website. Please just tell me how to get in.

Salay, cafesalay.wordpress.com is not associated with your account.
Can you log out, then log in again as the correct user? You will then be able to access cafesalay.wordpress.com/wp-admin .

I don’t know what you are talking about. Cafesalay is my ONLY account. For years, I always went to my Dashboard by opening the website this way: http://www.cafesalay.wordpress.com/wp-admin
PLEASE FIX THIS RIGHT AWAY!!! If you cannot figure it out, please just tell me what to type in the address box to get in. please!!!!!

HELLO. PLEASE, PLEASE CHANGE BACK MY USER/SITE NAME FROM TINGALINGPARK TO CAFESALAY. I cannot believe how you are just scrapping around with my site and making such a change without contacting me FIRST. I still cannot go forward with my site with all of this confusion. Please, just change my name back to what it has always been, cafesalay, and connect the wp-admin to it so I can get on with my life and work! Please do this immediately. I am blind and use a screenreader. Most of your links and forums, etc., etc., are a jumble to me.
In the future, if you plan to make changes internal to my site, consult with me first. Many thanks.

There is nothing that has been changed. The WordPress.com user account you are posting from has not ever been the owner or admin of https://cafesalay.wordpress.com/.
You cannot access the https://cafesalay.wordpress.com/ dashboard unless you are logged in as the owner/admin.

A MicroSoft technician remoted into my computer yesterday, and we tried to follow your instructions herein. I do not know my password, so we tried to go through the process of resetting my password. We were required to wait for a link from you via email. There was/has been no response. That was early yesterday afternoon. What now? TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.

Keep in mind that the password reset email would not show up at the email address associated with the account you are posting from on this forum thread. No two WordPress.com accounts can have the same email address. So the reset email is going to show up at a different, probably old or less frequently used, email address.
Also, please make sure you check your spam and social folders. Sometimes these emails get put there by mistake.

This problem has been caused by WordPress operatives – they changed the name of my account from CAFÉ SALAY, which is what I have used since I began in 2011, to TINGALING PARK, which is the name of a project within Café Salay, but not the name I want for this account. It has been a freaking mess! This is a horrible experience.
I lost my eyesight, and after a couple years, I am ready to move forward with Tingaling Park! Online. But first, I need to refer attorneys, agents, producers, studio execs, etc., etc., to my website in order to determine what needs to be done next, and I have found a group of technicians that specializes in WordPress to rebuild my site, based on the feedback and advice from these professionals. BUT I CANNOT REFER ANYONE TO MY SITE AT THIS TIME, UNTIL I HAVE THE DAASHBOARD CONNECTED TO CAFÉ SALAY. THE TECHNICAL TEAM WILL NOT WORK UNTIL I HAVE THE FEEDBACK.
Would someone be decent enough to put me baack to where I was before your interference??? PLEASE JUST RE-CONNECT MY DASHBOARD TO CAFÉ SALAY IMMEDIATELY. PLEASE!!!

I can understand your frustration. However, the fact of the matter is that your account has NOT been changed. You are simply logged into a different account than the one that owns https://cafesalay.wordpress.com/. Both accounts still exist. Nothing has been changed or deleted. you are just not logged into the correct account.
I am sorry that your site limitations make this difficult for you. But for security reasons, you MUST log into the account that owns https://cafesalay.wordpress.com/. We simply cannot give this account access to a site it does not own.
