HELLP!!! My “publish” “tags” and “category” options have disappeared.

Help! When I tried to create a new post today, the “tags” “category” and “publish” options are not on the page. I can’t post any more!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For those of us that have been around .COM for a while, these are all the telltale signs that staff is rolling out some new code.
The first thing to try is to log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again. Many times this will clear up the issues.

You can see the changes right on your dashboard; it no longer says View This Blog. It just has the blog name.

Thanks for this, but I’ve tried both, and I’ve tried all these things, and nothing works. Is everybody unable to post today? GRRR.

@jsallegra & @osopher, I fixed it for you.
We are investigating why this is happening to some people – could you help us by guessing the possible cause (describing what you were doing when this happened) if you remember?We have a temporary fix for this problem if it happens again.
Go to the Screen Options on the top left of your Edit Page screen and swap between 1 and 2 columns radio buttons (“1 > 2 > 1” or “2 > 1 > 2”). -

I’m using your suggestion to update my blog. Thank you for your promptness!
I was editing a previous post when i see it. It didn’t happen when I publish a post on 22 April, so I was surprised when I couldn’t update today.

Thanks, Happiness Engineer. The second column did bring back the Publish button. But you said this was a “temporary fix”?

OK that brought back the Publish button, but I can’t select or create any Categories. I sent off a detailed email to the support staff about it just a couple of hours ago.
I vastly prefer one column; and I want both Publish and Categories in it, just like it was day before yesterday. Hoping…

One good thing is I know it’s not just me. I just finished putting my blog together and was all set to schedule my morning publish time and all my “tags” “categories” lists and my publish/schedule button was gone.
I just tried to clear my cookies, etc, and restart my computer and still nothing. -

That suggestion from Naokomc worked; don’t know if it was coincidental or not, but after I toggled to 2 columns, all my “stuff” was in there and then I tried to toggled back to 1 column and my “stuff” had been restored. Thanks!
