Gravatar Login Broken After Enabling 2FA for WordPress Account

    I have a Gravatar account that is associated with an existing wordpress.com account. I recently enabled two-factor authentication for the wordpress.com account, but now when I try to sign into Gravatar via WordPress Connect, I am able to successfully authenticate using two-factor auth, but Gravatar itself never thinks I’m logged in and only shows me a page that says the following:

    Sign in to Gravatar with WordPress.com Connect

    Gravatar now allows you to use a WordPress.com account to sign in. If you have a WordPress.com account already then you can use that, or you can create a new one.

    If I click the ‘Sign in with WordPress.com’ button, I am immediately redirected back to the exact same page with the button still on it (already authenticated with wordpress.com, but Gravatar refuses to actually sign me in.)

    Is my Gravatar account broken or inaccessible now? How should I proceed?

    Hi there,

    Your account is fine. It sounds like we’re not able to detect your login to your WordPress.com account on the Gravatar site, and that is rather a browser problem.

    Please clear your browser cache and cookies, and make sure your browser allows third-party cookies. Also disable any anti-tracking browser add-ons that might be blocking cookies.

    Then log into your WordPress.com account, and then try logging into Gravatar again.

    Let me know if it still won’t let you log in.

    @kokkieh, I tried logging in with multiple browsers on 06/23, including with cleared cookies/incognito window without extensions, and nothing worked, but of course now that I’ve tried it again a few days later, I was able to log in just fine with no issues. 😆

    So, not entirely sure what the issue was, but thanks for responding and for taking a look!
