sorry to bother you I know this is a .org. question but I am not sure of what they are
telling me.
I followed the advice I got from .com before which worked on my blogs. but when I tried it
on my .org blog it did not work the same!
could someone please check this out for me? thank you

COPY..below from wordpres.org.I finally managed to get the google verification code onto a page on my blog site, but although it shows the html that I copied from the google site, and it shows on my page, it does not show the correct html on the browser that google needs to verify.still shows 404 error, can you please tell me what I am doing wrong? thank you

There a two methods, it seems you have confused them a little.1) Take the html verification code, create a new html-page with exact the same name (“verificationcode.html”) and upload that file to your webspace. Hit “Verify” in your Google Account and Google will find the verification.html page.

Create a new page in your blog, and name it yourverificationcode.html where “yourverificationcode” is the code you got at Google. Save and publish the page. Then go to Google and verify it.
