I have asked on the forum before about this topic and I thought I had it down pat
but I still can;t get it right!
Google verification code. I copied the code from ” googlexxxxxxxxxxx ‘through to the end
of the html code and I pasted it on the title of a page on my blog.It shows on my manage pages as html code on the page, but not on the main page of my blog and it says on google
404 error. Sorry to bother you all again but what am I doing wrong?

I tried the google verification on my wordpress.com blog as well and was never able to get it to work so I’m not sure if something changed or not. It would be a good thing to know as I would like to verify mine as well.

I found out how to get the code on a page I copied the code from google and added it to the title of the page and then hit save and publish, that worked fine, Now I need to know how to hide the google code on my page list on the front of my blog, I think ‘Time Thief” mentioned
that he had it on a private page but I dont know what that means! help please? -
Go into edit the page, and then in the right hand sidebar in the edit page, set the “post status” to private and save the page.
