Hi!
I have been on and of wordpress for the last 7 years and by accident I deleted a wordpress name that I wanted to continue with. Now I am searching for websitename ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) for my account, but the one I hade before is impossible to use. Is it at all possible to get it back again if I got confirmation that it is available? If so how? Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name. https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
