Full Size Image Appearing On Original Page

  • I am trying to insert an image into a post but I do not want to shrink the image and reduce it’s quality.

Therefore, I have inserted the image as 300 x 300 so that people can click on it to get the full resolution (because it wount fit on the page in it’s full size).

However, with tis method the reader is taken to a new page with just the image on which is undesirable. Instead, I was wondering if there is any way I can insert the image somehow so that when it is clicked on it pops up to it’s full size, at the forefront of the screen, whilst on the same page (with the original 300 x 300 image coming up on the screen to it’s natural size of ~ 700 x 500 etc).

The current scenario I am taking about can be seen here:

  • Hello there,
Your theme is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased it what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer. Go here > Appearance > Themes and click the “premium” link you find there to the Premium Themes Forum please.

  • Hi Timethief,

Apologies, I thought general queries were still meant to go through here because it’s a more a general question on clever ways of implementing images onto a post.

I’ll start a thread on Premium Themes but I thought maybe another blogger might have overcome similar problem
