    Hello,

I’m going to get 5 ‘Premium’ WordPress Plans (99USD), but i’m not able to register the username that i want because it’s already taken (I register it some years ago and i’m not able to access to that account to change it).

I wonder if there is a way to deactivate / delete that account or freed up / release that username.

    Thank you,
    Regards

There is no such thing as deleting a username account here. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

    Hello,

    Thank you for response.

I saw there, but i don’t found an answer. When i want to register a new account using the username that i want, i get the following message:

    Sorry, that username already exists!

I tried to recovery ‘password’ for that username, but i get the following message:

    Account Deleted!
Maybe you have renamed your account.
If you believe your account is deleted in error try our account recovery form and we’ll do our best to get you running again.

    Thank you,
    Regards

    Hi there,

If a username has already been created, it can’t be registered again later — even if the account doesn’t exist anymore (for example, if you changed your username).

You’ll need to create a new, unique username that hasn’t been registered before. Please let me know if you have any questions about that.

    Hello,

Yes, i still don’t understand why i can’t register an username that has been changed. Is there a Private Message to send info about username?

    Thank you,
    Regards

    Hi there,

Once a username has been registered, it can’t be registered again in the future. When you change a username, you can’t change the username back to the old username and that username will be reserved so no one can use it again in the future.

If you’d like, you can email us to discuss a specific username privately.

Hm, sorry about that! We get quite a few emails and our team answers them in the order they are received, so it can often be faster to get a reply here in the forums. However, I checked to see if I could find your email, and I don’t see an email from the email address on your account. Did you send it from a different email address?
