  I would really prefer to give a “free report” in exchange for pursuing / subscribing to my blog.

  Do people have any ideas how you could achieve this?

  (note: if you visit my site you will notice that i already have this sort of thing arranged up nevertheless not well suited for a number of reasons. So I’m looking for an alternative).

  Your site at starmobileaccessories.com is using the open source WordPress.org software, not WordPress.com.

  I’m sure there are subscription plugins that will allow you to do this, but the best place to ask about that are the self-hosted forums. We’re not able to help you with that here:
