Forgot password and can't access registration email

I’ve had to create a new login just to be able to enter this help request. The site I need help with is thoughtsalongthewayblog.wordpress.com, and my ID is bproffit. The problem is that I’ve lost my password and I must have registered with an email address (probably (email visible only to moderators and staff)) in a domain that no longer exists. Of course that’s also the address which would have my activation key to let me verify ownership. <sigh> How can I get it changed to (email visible only to moderators and staff) so I can reset the password?

Hi @sermonatorsite, sorry to hear that. Of course we can’t give you access to the account without proof of ownership, but if you can find the activation email, that would work. Also, while I can’t tell you the address on file, I can say it is not the one you listed here.

Hello, I am locked out of my website admin page. I wrote down my logon and password, but they are not being accepted. I clicked the “forgot password” button in case I had changed my password and then forgot :( but I did not receive an email with a reset link. What is my next step?

@danamcneely, timethief is right. Since staff will need to help you individually with this, it’s best to start your own separate thread.
