[Feature/Bug] Confit theme to display as menu not blog post archive

    Hi,

    After many hours trying to get this to work I’m not sure if it was intended or not hence the title.

    When adding the different menu sections for the ‘Food Menu’ to my custom menu I noticed that the posts are displayed as a blog archive. While this wouldn’t bother me, this does unfortunately strip out the Price information you provide with the Item entry into Food Menu. This means that to get the price information the user needs to either click on the post and go there and back aghain to keep browsing. OR add the price also to the description.

    Just a thought on if this is intended or a byproduct. I did notice (or rather had it pointed out to me) that the demo site also has the same function so it seem to be intended or at least prove im setting it up correctly…

    After spending days struggling with Confit myself, I believe you’ll find it to be a slightly unfinished product, with blog features (archives, etc) leaking into an otherwise nice looking restaurant theme.

    I would recommend looking further for a replacement theme.

    Yes that is also an option. Do you have any other suggestions?

    I could not find anything to my satisfaction. In the end, since I was hosting my own worpress site, I ended up hacking up something for myself.

    I posted a description of what I did on this forum, with the hope that Confit would be updated with those suggestions.

    Since then, I have moved on to woocommerce underneath some responsive theme. That was a lot more work, but was a good learning experience.
