Expand Mobile Menu by Default in Hever Theme

    Hi there,

    When I open my wordpress site on mobile, the site navigation menu is contracted by default. I want all the links in the menu to be visible when opening the site without having to expand the menu, the same way it is on desktop.

    I don’t have a Premium wordpress account, so I guess I can’t use CSS at the moment. Is there another way to make the desired change?

    Hi there,

    The menu toggle (which is set to ‘collapsed’ by default) is controlled via the theme javascript, which is not something that can be edited with CSS.

    In this case it is considered a “best practice” to collapse the menu on mobile, so this is a behaviour all our themes have and it cannot be easily changed. One option is to upgrade to the Business plan (which allows you to edit the site source code) and create a child theme that defaults to an expanded menu, but there is no way to do this on your free site without an upgrade.
