Error on LinkedIn using the WordPress app

    I have been getting the following all day problems on my LinkedIn page all day (UK time)

    a. No blog postings appear and I get an error message in the status bar of IE6. I can’t cut and past the error, but it is in the call to http://www.lmodules.com/opensocial... which includes the WordPress link.

    b. If I try to edit my LinkedIn settings relating to WordPress (or do anything else), I get the following message: –

    “Sorry, unable to fetch your blog (failed to parse JSON). Please try again later!”

    Any ideas?

    My public LinkedIn page is http://linkedin.com/in/peterjamesthomas but this doesn’t have the WordPress stuff on it, you need to be a LinkedIn member to move from this to view my full profile where the WordPress stuff normally appears. My blog is http://peterthomas.worpress.com

    Is this a general problem, or something specific to me?

    BTW I’ve contacted the folks at LinkedIn as well, but thought that WordPress might be more responsive.

    Here are some screen shots (that I produced for the LinkedIn support people) if that helps: –

    The problem is happening on two different PCs, one with XP, one with Vista and across IE6, IE7, Firefox 3 and Chrome.

    I’m having the very same problem, so looks like you are not alone. I also just emailed WordPress for an update on when this should be fixed. Have you heard anything new?

    Seems pretty silly that the SaaS version of WordPress fails. In theory WordPress should at least be able to get those working since the owner has minimal ability to screw it up!

    Glad that it is not just me – have removed WordPress from LinkedIn and added it again – no joy.

    Am also waiting on LinkedIn support to get back to me.

    Same problem for me. Looks like it is an issue between LinkedIn and WordPress.

    Glad to know it wasn’t me, I was trying all kinds of things.

    Will just have to switch it off for now.

    Arggg, anyone figure this one out? My blog was showing LinkedIn until I added pics to my previews on 12/25…. guess I can try taking them off…

    The trouble with the WordPress App on LinkedIn that started on 12/27 should be fixed now. Please try adding your blog again and let us know at http://support.wordpress.com/contact/ if it is still not working for you.

    Hi,

    I am also having the “Loading…” and nothing happens problem with my Linked in account. Is it just a system overload problem or a glitch. I have tried to add the “WordPress widget” to Linkedin on about 10 occasions over the lat two days.
